Our company is a leading company in the apparel and footwear international industry, and is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Engineer to support definition of the sourcing strategy for Knits product category on regional level, ensuring the brand’s current and future sourcing needs are addressed, for sample and order execution, and ensuring an optimal allocation that achieves business margin, sustainability and delivery targets for that category.

responsabilidades chave

  • This Senior Supply Chain Engineer will have as responsibilities
  • Manage the sourcing & production milestones
  • Communication with vendors and business counter-parts
  • Execute based on agreed product- and service standards as well as cost objectives from the brand
  • Cost analysis management and problem shooting
  • Price negotiation and cost expectation management
  • Manage production delivery against the plan
  • Manage timeline from development to bulk shipment
  • Sample tracking, checking and communication
  • Visiting vendors aiming for new vendor opportunities, assess capabilities, R&D, Production checking etc.
  • Support the implementation of the Vendor Strategy on vendor empowerment (Digitalization, Innovation, Sustainability)
  • Compile various reports
  • Ensure garment/product integrity and quality of the style and product execution
  • Conduct checks on actual allocation vs. planned strategy via seasonal post mortem
  • Understand reasons for deviation and address by either adjusting the strategy or correcting allocation with account & brand teams
  • Ensure strategy is adjusted to reflect macro disruptions (e.g. Force majeure, Cotton shortages…etc.)

competências

  • Degree in Textiles, Fashion or supply chain management
  • Minimum 7 year experience in supply chain, preferably in the apparel manufacturing environment
  • Strong business acumen in current fashion supply chain trends, fashion sourcing landscape
  • Experience in Knits manufacturing, extensive knowledge on fabric and garment manufacturing
  • Extensive knowledge on wash- and garment dye processes
  • Experience in buying/trading office or manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with SAP, PLM systems or any other sourcing procurement related systems
  • Network of European Fabric Mills (preferable)
  • Apparel, material or technical background (preferable)
  • Ability to work with in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, multi-time zone environment
  • Ability to think out of the box
  • High communication and negotiation skills, credible at top management level and with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • High problem-solve profile
  • Energetic and proactive work mentality, being open to changes.
