Collaborate with all BorgWarner engineering disciplines and project management to achieve designobjectives, manufacturability, project timing and cost targets
Support and perform Design Validation and Process Validation tests. Electrical, Software and EMC
Testing.
Manage system requirements and conformance to customer specification
Responsible for understanding and managing to closure product/system issues relative to intended
system usage. Maintain customer action items list and manage commitments to ensure customer
needs are met
Responsible for investigating customer product/system related problems and developing timely
solutions related to the electronics portion of Ignition Coil.
Perform the electrical design, simulation and analysis of power electronics circuits and systems to
meet technical product requirements.
Conduct the electrical debug, test, characterization, and validation of power electronics designs.
Specify, identify, select, and test of key critical electrical components
Develop an optimized electrical and thermal solution utilizing balanced requirements to meet
schedule, technical and cost constraints.
Follow organizational Electrical Design process and documentation related to Electromagnetic
Compatibility design and confirmation on product hardware
Support Electrical, Software and EMC Test Plan defining all customer required tests and test limits,
including the set-up of each test and the design, documentation, build, and check-out necessary
input/output test hardware for EMC compliance testing
Design and analyze circuits used in the Ignition Coil following the BorgWarner design process
Collaborate with the customer to ensure Ignition Coil Electronics are in compliance with
requirements
Analyze function of software at ignition electronics for potential issues.
Alternative component investigation
Work with customer and supplier in component change requests related to electronics.
competências
Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering, Masters preferred or another STEM discipline6 years work experience and at least 3 years for automotive electronics product development or
related field.
Knowledge of microelectronic fundamentals & Semiconductor electronics
Familiarity with micro controller systems.
Familiar with analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to interpret electrical / electronic schematics.
Technical project management experience (preferred)
Understanding of engineering theories related to designated engineering function and applies those
theories to a variety of complex tasks and situations
Strong oral and written communication skills
Willingness/ability to travel 10%
