Job Opportunity:Our client company is recruiting: Production Line Manager
Location: Madeira, Portugal
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Production Line Manager to oversee the assembly line operations for LPA pumps. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing production teams, operating forklifts, and using digital tools to streamline manufacturing processes. Fluency in Portuguese is required, along with strong English communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Assembly
• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the LPA pump assembly line.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material flow to avoid production delays.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for pump assembly.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership
• Lead, train, and motivate production staff.
• Schedule shifts and allocate tasks to meet production targets.
• Conduct performance reviews and support staff development.
Technical & Operational
• Operate forklifts for material handling and logistics within the facility.
• Maintain accurate production records using digital tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to improve product design and assembly processes.
Quality Control
• Oversee quality control checks throughout the assembly process.
• Ensure all LPA pumps meet internal and regulatory quality standards.
• Document and report defects, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Work closely with QA teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S workplace organization.
• Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in a production or assembly line management role.
• Forklift operation certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, ERP systems, production tracking tools).
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Fluent in Portuguese and proficient in English (spoken and written).
