Kelly Engineering Resources is recruiting a Laboratory Manager to integrate a multinational client established in Setubal.Responsibilities:
- Managing the entire process of tissue culture production of various plant crops;
- Management and administration of the production planning, production information, inventory management, reports and delivery information, in such way that the transfer of this information to the Board and management is timely and properly;
- Inspired leadership to manage 30-40 employees, partly fixed employees, mostly temporary employees;
- Practical support and training of staff;
- Pro-actively inform the Board on technical matters in the tissue culture lab and make suggestions to improve the protocols;
- Organizing an effective and efficient meeting structure, in such way that there is good coordination and harmonization of overlapping activities;
- Ensuring adequate supplies and raw materials according to the production plan;
- Financial responsibility regarding budget and performance tissue culture activities in Portugal;
- Will be involved in the technical realization of the tissue culture laboratory.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a tissue culture lab or experience in an comparable function;
- Master degree in horticulture or biotechnology;
- Entrepreneurial attitude;
- Excellent managerial and leadership skills;
- Able to motivate others, work in a team and create a positive atmosphere;
- Good communication skills;
- Speaks Portuguese and English language fluently;
- Accurate in administration (Word and Excel).
