Randstad professionals is a specialized recruitment company for middle and top management positions.CorPower Ocean is a Swedish leading wave energy technology developer that wants to recruit an Operations Manager (m/f) to be the first person in their new Portuguese entity, located at Vila do Conde.
Competências:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience from relevant industrial operations (e.g. power, offshore or advanced machinery);- Experience from managing technical projects involving public funding bodies and private investors;
- Experience in developing and leading advanced engineering organizations;
- Experience in attracting and nurturing top talents from around the world;
- English and Portuguese fluent;
- Passionate entrepreneurial mindset;
- Product oriented with a strong commercial view on work;
- Persistent, knowing it takes stamina to reach ambitious goals.
Principais responsabilidades
As Operation Manager you will have to build a new engineering team from scratch and then leading the operations focused on final assembly, testing and ocean deployment of commercial scale Wave Energy Converters.Responsibilities:
- At first, develop a dedicated wave energy operation and engineering team, including electrical, mechanical, composite and marine operations engineers
- Day-to-day management of the Portuguese operations
- Ensure clear communication and strong collaboration between teams in Sweden, Portugal and Scotland
- Financial and legal responsibility for the Portuguese operations of CorPower Ocean Lda
- Ensure clear communication with project stakeholders, suppliers and authorities
- Ensure that Portuguese operations comply with company policy, including HSQE, and that necessary permits are secured to execute projects on plan
- Be an active part of the long term technical and commercial strategies for CorPower Ocean
Your team will:
- Design and manufacturing activities for composite buoy hulls
- Design and manufacturing activities for electrical collection systems
- Support final assembly, deployment, retrieval and maintenance of wave energy systems
- Support technology certification activities aimed at delivering a bankable product
- Reporting to public and private financers
