Every year around the world, Kelly Services employs on average about 10,000 in permanent jobs.At this moment, Kelly Search & Selection is looking for an General Ledger Accountants (English Speaker) for a Finance Shared Service Center Company in Porto.
Responsibilities
• Perform period end activities such as booking of journal entries, currency revaluation, depreciation, accruals and provisions, etc.
• Perform inventory accounting and post adjustments;
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information, to internal or external parties, including group accounting, auditors and authorities (e.g. tax authorities);
• Balance sheet reconciliation and account maintenance;
• Perform accounts reviews and provide explanations of variances;
• Prepare management reporting package and other packages;
• Support in the preparation of financial statements;
• Support in the preparation of tax declarations;
• Handling external and internal queries via email / phone;
• Support planning, monitoring and coordination of closing process;
• Coordinate or execute projects related to accounting and reporting;
• Provide support related to annual and interim audits in close cooperation with other departments and auditors;
• Prepare and support ad-hoc requests from external or internal customers in close cooperation with other departments (e.g. tax inspections).
Profile:
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or similar field;
• Good knowledge of IFRS;
• Good knowledge of accounting standards in one of the following GAAPs: Portugal, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, UK or USA;
• Good Knowledge in Internal Controls and/or SOX compliance preferred;
• CA or CPA degree preferred
• Fluent English both spoken and written and preferably a second European language like German, Italian, Spanish, French, or Dutch
• Experienced in working with ERP systems
• A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in finance and accounting in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a Shared Service Center
