DEVOPS SYSTEMS ENGINEER

What will be expected of you?

Be the challenger: monitor retail and technology trends and foster the adoption of the ones that are relevant for our businesses, working closely with all the necessary teams to make it happen;

 

Work as the guiding light: work closely with Top Management on defining the end game and the long-term plan to achieve it, as well as on monitoring and reporting its execution and the impacts on our Enterprise Architecture;

 

Act as the maestro: promote open communication between all the teams with responsibilities regarding both IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture subjects. There are great bass, drums and guitar musicians, but the band only plays good music if you are in;

 

Lead by example: be fully committed with your team, always finding a way to motivate and promote its evolution

Main requirements

Experience on building and maintaining traditional infrastructure and related security tools and services;

Hands-on experience in building, designing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure services and applications within Azure, AWS, etc;

Hands-on experience to build and handle virtualization technologies, containers utilizing tools like Kubernetes, Docker, etc;

Extensive experience in operating scripting languages such as shell scripting, Perl, Python,  etc;

Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD process by accessing related tools (ex: Maven, Jenkins, etc); 

Hands-on experience in using configuration management and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack, etc;

Participate in on-call rotations (but there shouldn’t be a lot of work since you will work to automate everything!);

Effective leadership and cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
