Randstad Professionals is hiring a Database Administrator, for direct integration, in a international software startup, with offices in Porto.They develop and maintain an ad-serving technology platform and are looking for a Database Administrator to install, maintain and support the database infrastructure.
This professional will work with the development and infrastruture teams.
responsabilidades chave
Manage and monitor MariaDB database systems.Manage and monitor ClickHouse database clusters.
Ensure the best cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
Ensure system reliability and stability over time.
Review and work to improve database systems design.
Work with development teams to design, implement and maintain databases.
Contribute to team process improvements according to best practices.
Participate in team knowledge sharing.
Research performance errors and suggest solutions.
competências
Experience with MySQL/MariaDB administration (mandatory requirement).More than 3 years of professional experience (mandatory requirement).
Experience in database performance analysis and fine-tuning.
Experience in diagnosing, analyzing, and solving operational problems.
Knowledge about agile methodologies and management tools (Confluence, Jira).
Knowledge about sharding and partitioning of data.
Good English communication skills (mandatory requirement).
Experience with BigData systems (Impala, Hadoop, ClickHouse) is valued.
Knowledge of PHP, Python or Go is valued.
