Randstad Professional is hiring a professional with consolidated experience in the accounting/financing area, for a reputable client, based in Porto.

competências

  • 2 or 3 years in credit control or other finance support functions;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite i.e. advanced excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Demonstrable English written and oral communication;
  • Working knowledge/experience of Oracle or similar ERP systems;
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable and Advanced Collections modules;
  • Knowledge of Freight Forwarding industry or similar industry

responsabilidades

  • Request and forward documentation to assist in collecting past dues;
  • Timely follow up on pending actions;
  • Identify problems such as cash flow issues, billing and rating issues;
  • Notify pears of any name and address changes;
  • Prepare all paperwork for internal and out sourcing purposes;
  • Assist with special accounting projects and/or other duties, as assigned;
  • Keep track of all necessary paperwork;
  • Understand and identify rate, service, dimension and PO issues; organize information and forward to appropriate teams to resolve;
  • Ensure activities are targeted at maximizing cash collection and reducing overdue debt;´
  • Work with cross functions within the business to ensure invoice disputes are proactively recorded and resolved in a timely manner;
  • Ensure the day to day activities conform to company policies and internal control procedures;
  • Ensure all activities are performed, including reporting and business reviews in line with any service level agreements and the month end timetable;
  • Ensure regular meetings are diarized and performed with operations and other cross functions to review debtors and disputes, keeping parties informed of initiatives, issues as well as progress;
  • Foster effective teamwork between the team and cross functional teams;
  • Identify, assess and inform direct and business management of internal and external issues that impact performance;
  • Take full and active ownership, providing subject matter expertise of ad hoc projects as & when required;
  • Advocate of change, in an ever changing and demanding environment;
  • Actively participate in regular team meetings, providing examples, suggestions and general insight to rest of the team;
  • Identify, assess and inform direct and business management of internal and external issues that impact performance;
  • Take full and active ownership, providing subject matter expertise of ad hoc projects as & when required;
  • Responsible for the whole process of supporting Operations and the MDM team with the review and creation of new customer ledger accounts;
  • Apply time management techniques to ensure daily activities are achieved, improving own and rest of team’s performance, which is aligned, to achieving goals and targets.
