Must-have:

Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5

Proficiency with JavaScript, CSS and Node.js.

Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS or SCSS

Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations

Proficient understanding of Git

Knowledge of SEO principles

Knowledge of CSS frameworks
 
Nice-to-have:
 

Knowledge of modern Javascript frameworks

Be user-oriented

Knowledge of JavaScript templating engines like Pug.js

Fast, efficient & results-oriented

Knowledge of automated testing tools like Mocha, Selenium, Nightwatch
