RESPONSABILITIES:
Working within the IT Development team you support and enhance bespoke system solutions as well as implementing new systems as and when required. You will also maintain and improve system availability, performance and functionality for existing PHP systems
o Review current PHP set up and infrastructure and ensuring development environment is appropriate. Suggest new infrastructure/software as required to improve existing environments;
o Understanding development across all internal PHP areas and ensure new development follows any new standards;
o Working closely with the Business Systems Analysts you are responsible for the design, development and delivery of solutions;
o You are able to provide good technical documentation for your solutions to ensure maintainability;
o You may be asked to lead new PHP projects when required, supported by Business Systems Analysts;
o You have the ability to mentor and help develop and lead Junior PHP Developers if required;
o You will ensure that security is implemented to a very high standard and ensure that penetration test suggestions are fully implemented as and when they occur.
REQUIREMENTS:
o 5+ years in Systems development and/or Applications Support which includes experience in Analysis, Design, Programming, Support and maintenance activities;
o Very strong PHP and MySQL skills;
o Strong OOP design patterns;
o Unit testing (PHPUnit);
o Setup and management of local development environments;
o Excellent knowledge of PHP frameworks, including Symfony 2,Zend , Laravel and Silex framework;
o Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery and strong UX skills;
o Strong knowledge of web services including RESTful and SOAP;
o Some experience of using Oracle technologies including Oracle OCI libraries and PLSQL;
o Excellent knowledge of version control systems. Subversion & GIT;
o Good all round knowledge of data processing including a high-end (general) technical knowledge of hardware, software, databases and database technologies;
o Development and integration of various third party API’s.
