The Role:In Visor.ai we help big companies to automate interactions with their customers using Artificial Intelligence and Chatbots.
We are working with more than 30 clients from different sectors like Banks, Insurance Companies, Utilities, Public Sector, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, etc. Our team is based in Lisbon, Madrid and Aveiro, and we are currently expanding to other countries.
We are looking for a NLP Engineer to join Visor.AI in building the next-generation intelligent platform for custom support, powered by large-scale data and true state of the art Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Information Retrieval, and Natural Language Processing algorithms. You will help build, lead and optimize, through research and experimentation, our data-driven products
Your tasks:
- Design and develop state of the art algorithms in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Information Retrieval (IR) with a focus on written text processing with a question and answering model.
- Conduct practical research with a scientific mindset, and a focus on delivery;
- Integrate scalable and efficient machine learning (ML) algorithms into the platform;
- Help in the design of new features in the product, and drive innovation inside the company;
- Scientific and technical publications are possible and encouraged;
- Applicant should be interested to keep up to date with scientific advancements and lead a small team of NLP Engineers
1) Minimum Requirements
- MSc. in a quantitative discipline: Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Data Science related role, preferably working within an NLP and Information Retrieval environment
- Fluent in Python and Data Science & ML packages (pandas, nltk, spacy, scikit-learn, gensim)
- Good understanding of NLP (word embeddings, named-entity recognition, information extraction)
- Used to building and delivering ML products
- Highly motivated, eager to lead but with critical reasoning towards goals
2) Recommended Requirements
- Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline: Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering;
- Between 3-5 years' experience in a Data Science related role, preferably working within an NLP and Information Retrieval environment;
- Knowledge of at least one or more Deep Learning framework (Keras, TensorFlow or PyTorch);
- Up to date with current State of the Art and Transfer Learning models;
- Demonstrated theoretical and practical understanding of true ML algorithms and NLP;
- Publications are valued.
