Randstad Professionals is the Randstad Group's business unit for recruiting Middle & Top Management.In partnership with a prestigious company in the property sector, we are recruiting a Senior Accounting Manager to work in the Lisbon area.
responsabilidades chave
Implement internal systems and lead the transformation from external accounting services to internal systems and teams.Prepare the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements, as well as the preparation of financial forecasts.
Be the central accounting point of contact for the company as well as for external service providers, e.g. auditors.
Have responsibility for all tax and regulatory related undertakings.
Work closely with department heads to create and monitor budgets and provide them necessary reports for the cashflow control.
Support the continuous development and optimization of internal accounting processes e.g. establishment of internal accounting systems.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precise financial data
Preparation of accounting entries and organization of the respective documentation
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
Diligently conduct inventory analysis and accounting of financial statements.
Stay up to date on industry best practices & on modifications in accounting regulations.
Provide mentoring & guidance to more junior member of the accounting team.
competências
University level degree or masters in accounting or finance.10+ years experience of working in accounting, ideally with 5+ years experience at management level.
Registered chartered accountant with proven industry experience post attaining.
Highly proficient in accounting softwares and MS Excel.
Excellent accounting knowledge according to IFRS.
Profound knowledge of Portuguese tax and accounting regulations and official requirements.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels across the organization.
Fluent in Portuguese & English.
Prior experience in a high growth international environment is an advantage.
Experience with reviewing multiple entities and working with advanced ERP systems is desirable.
Rigorous with a high level of attention to detail.
Highly analytical and detailed-oriented.
Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
