Junior General Ledger Clerk – MedTech | International Shared Service Center

Location: Lisbon (hybrid model)
Industry: Medical Technology / Healthcare
Scope: International – focus on Canadian operations

Our client is strengthening the finance team with the integration of a General Ledger Clerk to support the international business unit, with a primary focus on Canadian operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals seeking a collaborative, multicultural environment driven by continuous improvement. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering meaningful financial insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
Process journal entries and perform monthly account reconciliations;
Actively participate in month-end and year-end closing processes;
Prepare financial reports and provide audit support;
Coordinate with local and international teams to ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements;
Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in team training;
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Profile:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
2 years of experience in general ledger accounting (Preferential);
Fluency in English (additional European languages are a plus);
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems;
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills;
Proactive, autonomous, and team-oriented;
Availability for flexible hours during month-end closing periods.
