Main Purpose of the role
• Write high-quality software following the team's current practices
• Write technical documentation (software architecture, usage instructions)
• Proactively suggest and promote new methodologies and technologies within the team
• Write and maintain tests and other quality-centred automated processes
• Strong Java Experience and Spring boot with Node.js being an advantage
Key Experience required
Experience with most of the following:
• SOA (REST-based micro-services)
• Test driven development / behaviour-driven development
• Collaborative development (Git-flow, peer reviewing)
• ECMAScript (Node.js and DOM) and web standards (HTML, CSS, ...)
• Some other server-side language/runtime (Golang, Python, Java)
• UI frameworks (Vue.js, Angular.js, React.js)
• Build tools (Gulp, npm, Grunt)
• Container-based CI/CD (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Willingness to learn, maintain and evolve existing codebase
• Excellent personal inter-relational capabilities, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Ability to use creativity and critical thinking while designing pragmatic solutions
Communication Skills
• Ability to explain different and complex ideas in a compelling way to team members and colleagues from other business areas
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
To be considered for the position you must have the following technical skills: Strong Java and Spring Boot experience with Node.js being a bonus.
