Aggregating more than 2,000 owned vehicles plus the motorhomes, motorhomes and other recreational vehicles of numerous individual and professional hosts, they operate in the US and 15 European countries - Germany, France, UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands , Belgium, Sweden, Portugal, Croatia, Norway and Iceland - and are physically present in more than 50 cities and is looking for a Engineering Manager - Ruby on Rails for your team.
responsabilidades chave
Get involved with the business and gather stakeholders' feedback.Work with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts.
Own the code end-to-end by producing clean, reusable, efficient code based on specifications, testing, and deploying it to production.
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing code.
Recommend and execute improvements.
Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.
Actively collaborate in SCRUM events in your best capacity.
Sufficient knowledge of AWS service, components, Docker containers, Git/GitHub, and deployment pipelines.
Express yourself fluently in English.
competências
7+ years of experience in product development.University degree in Computer Science or related field (Mandatory).
Previous experience as an Engineering Manager (Mandatory).
In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
Hands-on experience with programming in Ruby on Rails (mandatory), Node.js, and other languages like Typescript will be a plus.
Experience with REST API's.
Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ, Kafka, and SNS/SQS.
Experience with Microservices and building them from scratch.
Capability to integrate and optimize databases like Postgres and Redis.
Understanding the concepts of Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices architecture, event-driven, and CQRS pattern.
