We are currently hiring an Control System Engineer for a company with a large activity scope.
O que terás de fazer
- Manage Safety, Hygiene, Environment and Quality consistent with the company policies on control systems and project implementation activities;
- To take into account measures to reduce the risk of intentional contamination of products during project design and on control systems – food defence;
- To involve Maintenance and other Operating Areas on management of change, project design and implementation, by default and when appropriate;
- Support site infrastructure for existing systems and serves as resource for operating systems and applications for manufacturing processes;
- Propose, design, and implement the algorithms needed to sustain continuous improvement based on manufacturing direction;
- Develop configuration database and control logic;
- Build HMI graphical interfaces;
- Perform assigned programming tasks for machines which utilize PLCs, motion controllers, hydraulics, pneumatics, vision, robotics, servo drives, stepper motors, electrical/electronic systems, HMI
& SCADATesting, commissioning and startup;
- Undertake loop tuning and control performance support;
- Support systems installed base configuration and system management activities, as well as new platform migrations;
- Coordinate personnel required to complete assignments: supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff;
- To initiate the workflow of project activities; prepare monthly progress reports and issue them to the relevant stakeholders;
- Evaluate and select appropriate electrical and instrumentation components, technologies, and advise suppliers for hiring;
- Handle project administration, including cost control, schedule control and project SAP administration;
O que precisas de garantir
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering;
- Experience in managing aspects of Safety, Hygiene, Environment and Quality;
- Strong experience with programmable logic controllers and computer networking in an industrial setting;
- Solid and demonstrable electrical and instrumentation experience;
- Significant change management implementation experience is essential;
- Financial awareness with experience of managing operational and project budgets;
- Good facilitator and ideally with knowledge and experienced with Continuous Improvement tools;
- Knowledge of: Wonderware (Invensys) HMI, PLC systems (AB Controllogix), VBscripting, Windows 2008, Win 7 operating systems, Archestra (System Platform);
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Word);
- Fluent in English;
- Availability to travel abroad.
