Randstad professionals is a specialized recruitment company for middle and top management positions.Our client is a multinational in the automotive sector who is looking for a Category Buyer - Transportation & Packaging (m/f).
Competências:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration or similar;- More than 7 years of professional experience in the automotive industry;
- Previous experience in purchasing activities;
- Experience with negotiations and contract management of international suppliers;
- Good knowledge of English (eliminatory);
- Very good computer skills (Office and SAP);
- Strong analytical skills and ability to develop strategies;
- Willingness to travel.
Principais responsabilidades
Main responsibilities:- Define and implement category / sub-category strategy. Review supplier base; define robust preferred supplier base; reduce number of suppliers and bundle business accordingly;
- Benchmarking of the responsible category spend frequently (min. 2 times / year), identify potentials, lead supplier negotiations and implement potentials accordingly;
- Improve and implement standardization for assigned categories;
- Execute the Contract Management;
- Work and cooperate closely with Local Indirect Purchasing teams, ensure compliance across all Purchasing activities.
