Randstad Professionals is hiring Fullstack Developers, for direct integration, in a international software company, located in Porto.Hybrid work model. The developers will be required to come to office when there are either customer or management visits, as well as, when there be a need to work together (brainstorm, planning, etc).
The company has 200 people globally. The product is related with the defence industry in Europe. The Project consists of products that help interoperability around the world. Apart from being a standalone product they also integrate into one of the world’s leading command and control system where they support visualizations of the templates on maps as well as ease of use of the templates.
responsabilidades chave
Development of software.It will be mix of both legacy code and new features development. The oldest part of the product suite is 30 years old and the newest is a couple of months. A developer on their project will both work with legacy systems and maintenance of such but at the same time there is the need to constantly add new features. It will be to work on frontend and backend in the ratio 50/50.
Take responsibility of the tasks given and deliver them, through the structured
development process that is used.
Bugs in this defence software can be fatal and therefore, developers have to be very quality aware, all work is tested and no code goes into production until it has
been peer reviewed by experienced colleagues and sparring happens daily.
Work according to agile methodologies (Scrum).
Understand the need for documentation as well as the value of estimation and partake in peer reviews and implementing new functionality.
competências
More than 5 years of professional experience in software development (mandatory requirement).Experience in building a team is valued.
Good knowledge of any of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C++, C# (70% Java, 15% Javascript, 13% C++, 2% C#). Its not important which technology the candidate already knows if you are a good programmer that understands the mindset of software development.
Engineering mindset and willingness to switch between the technologies will be a key.
Communication, responsibility and team player.
Able to share knowledge with colleagues and collaborate with solutions.
Good level of English (at least intermediate B1 is a mandatory requirement).
