competências

  • What you need to apply:
    - Experienced administrator (5+ years) operating on high availability & high performance data
    bases in a global manufacturing environment;
    - Experience in negotiation and management of external partners;
    - Relevant Degree or Equivalent Experience;
    - Proven working experience as a Database administrator;
    - Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications;
    - Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL;
    - Good knowledge about SQL, Oracle, Progress;
    - Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding;

responsabilidades

We are looking for a DBs Technical Support Engineer that will manage the databases 24/7 with
the goal to provide a flow of information throughout the company and users, considering
backend data structure and frontend accessibility. This person is also responsible for planning,
development and troubleshooting of any issues in the database.

Responsibilities:
1. Understand the needs of users; monitor access and security
2. Create performance and management parameters in order to provide quick responses to
users
3. Installation and testing of updated versions of the database management system (DBMS);
4. Validate and maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act;
5. Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the
data dictionary (metadata);
6. Responsible for controlling access permissions and privileges;
7. Create, manage and test back-up and recovery plans.
