Randstad Professionals is specialized in the recruitment of middle and senior positions.Our client is a multinational company and he is looking for a Software Engineering Manager - Data & Analytics for Lisbon.
You are a visionary leader passionate about data engineering techniques and advanced analytics
methods to help business with the information and insights they need to achieve their objectives. You
lead a team to design and implement data and analytic solutions that collect, aggregate, store and
reconcile data from many sources, helping to design and build data pipelines, streams, reporting tools,
data generators and tools to provide information and insights. If you are ready for a great challenge in a

Key focus areasDefine data & analytics strategy and architecture
Create data pipelines, big data platforms and data integrations
Collaborate with other teams to plan and implement data strategies to enable company goals
Lead by example, drive a culture of ownership, innovation, and technical excellence.
This includes:
Influence and lead by example with a collaborative, trust-building attitude.
Develop policies, procedures, data models and architectures to collect, organize, store and access and
use data
Create data flows, ETL scripts, data transformation logics, and other data management jobs
Create the architectures, data warehouses and databases that support access and Advanced Analytics,
and bring them to life through modern visualization tools
Collaborate with engineers, data owners, architects, and other stakeholders to understand their current
use of data and identify opportunities
Be a leader in constructing and supporting data fabric/data mesh best practices
Lead, define and implement end-to-end modern data platforms in support of analytics ML and AI use
cases
Analyze multiple sources of structured and unstructured data to design data architecture solutions for
scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, and elasticity
Address aspects such as data governance privacy & security, data ingestion & processing, data storage &
compute, analytical & operational consumption, data modelling, data virtualization, self-service data
preparation & analytics, AI enablement and API integrations
competências
10+ years of data engineering experience and 5+ years as data architectPassionate about building data analytics capabilities for improved decision making and visibility
Experience leading cross-functional teams, strong leadership presence
Passionate about people, have strong team spirit, communication, coach, and mentor skills
Experienced in data governance, data quality, analytics automation
Creative problem solver with strong communication and presentation skills
Experience building a data analytics vision, strategy and architecture
Expert level in SQL and strong hands-on scripting ability
Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and are experienced in building domain data models
and analytic data platforms
Hands-on experience with designing and tuning ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion/cleansing and
engineering skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Technical Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
Nice To have:
Experience working in an agile environment, methodologies and SCRUM
Experience working in a Product software company
Experience with AI, ML or RPA
Engineering experience using Python, Java or other modern language
Experience with Metabase, AWS, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Postgres and NoSql databases
Previous experience as a Database Administrator
TOGAF, AWS or Data Analytics certifications
