Our client is a global medical products and technologies company, with leading market positions in advanced wound care, ostomy care, continence and critical care, and infusion devices.

About The Role

The Master Data Manager will report to the VP Global Business Services.

They will work closely with the Regional/Global Finance community and Process Owners to ensure that master data for Customer, Vendor, General Ledger, Profit Centre, Cost Centre and other financial master data is complete and accurate and maintained to the level required to support efficient and effective operation of ConvaTec’ s global processes.

This includes improving and setting standards for data quality, creating & cleansing the master data sets, processing the creation and amendments to master data, monitoring data to ensure that it meets those standards and working with business users to ensure data errors are corrected, identifying continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that master data quality is maintained.

competências

  • - 4-5 years as Team Lead or 2 years as Service Line Lead in GBS environment
  • - 2 years minimum master data management experience in SAP
  • - Excellent data manipulation skills in Business Intelligence or equivalent
  • - Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills (excel to an advanced level)
  • - Data Profiling and Data Quality monitoring tool e.g. Infosphere preferred
  • - Excellent team management skills
  • - Min 12 months process development experience (Lean/ Six Sigma)
  • English - C1
  • Portuguese B2 - if not a native speaker

responsabilidades

  • - Creation and maintenance of master data, completed within quality targets and SLAs set
  • - Creation and embedding of Data Governance within ConvaTec. This will include creation and maintenance of Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Dictionaries, Data Quality Rules, etc. Once in place, manage the monitoring and reporting of data quality to stakeholders and take necessary action to ensure data meets the data quality targets
  • - Own the data cleansing process
  • - Manage the process to correct data errors found in the master data on an ongoing basis
  • - Assist the programme team in the implementation of tools and processes to create and maintain master data and then resume responsibility for maintaining them
  • - Ensure Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and training material for Master Data Management are in place an up to date
  • - Ensure Controls to manage the processing of master data are in place and meet expectations set by the Global Financial Controls Team.
  • - Subject matter expert and “go to” person for master data who will work with the business users to education, train, and assist them with master data management
  • - Develop and maintain dashboards to report master data quality and as the business develops create a wider range of KPIs to manage the department
  • - Once the Data Project has concluded drive continuous improvement programmes to further enhance data quality by analysing data within the database, observing and monitoring processes and working with the business to identify improvements. Create projects where needed and work with relevant stakeholders to deliver the improvements
  • - Work with other projects to expand the use of master data within the business, for example to CRM, sales and marketing
  • - Represent Master Data at Data Governance meetings
  • - Work on business projects where needed
  • - Develop a high performing team who champion data quality
