Legal Advisor - LISBOA

We are recruiting a Legal Advisor for a multinational insurance company. Project with an expected duration of 12 months.. 

O que terás de fazer

- Advise and support all Company areas regarding compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and administrative provisions; by doing this you'll be providing legal advice and support to the business in order to assist business objectives, comply with laws and minimize legal risks

- Evaluate the potential impact of any changes in the legal framework on the Company's activity

- Review, from a legal standpoint, contracts to which the Company is a party, reviewing and drafting the respective clauses and supporting the respective negotiation, when needed

- Perform the supervision and control of the technical-legal consistency of the clauses of all insurance products marketed by the Company by reviewing of the General, Special and Particular Conditions on texts proposed by the technical areas and revision of the respective printed matter and supports

- Ensure support and contact with corporate lawyers by managing external counsel when needed

- Ensure the response to all legal requests, including the legal advice and active participation on critical projects for the Company by participating in meetings and discussions, applying problem-solving skills

- Support department activities in order to meet projected Corporate goals and objectives.

O que precisas de garantir

- Degree in Law;

- Member of the Portuguese Bar Association;

- Up to 5 years relevant experience preferably in a Financial Services environment;

- Extensive practical understanding of the legal/regulatory environment in the Portuguese insurance industry;

- Solid general legal knowledge / Specific knowledge in Insurance and Insurance Distribution Law;

- Knowledge on Competition and Data Protection will be a plus;

- Advanced level of English.
