We are hiring a Health & Safety and Security Manager for a multinational food industry company.
O que terás de fazer
- Manage and ensure compliance with all legislation in force (quality, security, food safety and food defense) as well as with the Group's health, safety and security procedures and policies;
- Define, propose updates and implement policies for safety, and manage all corporate security, safety and health programs and processes across the plant, in a way promote a positive H&S culture;
- Ensure the appropriate H&S training is given to all employees, as necessary, including H&S orientation with new contractors;
- Provide regular reports on safety program status and metrics to the Regional EHS Manager and Refinery Manager and provide advice on H&S statutory requirements and audit compliance as required;
- Participate in area network meetings and discussions to advise on health and safety and coordinate and lead EHS Committees with the Environmental Manager and ensure frequency of meetings;
- Arrange and assist regular auditing / inspections according to the H&S management system in site with external bodies (i.e., DRLVT, ACT, Insurers, fire brigades, fire officer ANPC), and conduct risk assessment, internal auditing as required to identify and analysis risks and gaps and make recommendations for improvement and sustainability of the safety program;
- Serve as an active member of the Corporate Safety Network Committee. Ability to travel to other company locations as a member of an assessment team or to serve as a subject matter expert as required;
- Assist IS/IT by providing user and programming support for incident investigation, injury reporting & fire training;
- Be actively involved and provide approval on design / project activities of Capex Projects and other changes as part of the Management of Change process regarding H&S issues;
- Improve and ensure compliance of Health & Safety Absolutes such as PPE, Fall Protection, LOTO, Powered Industrial Truck Program and Confined Space Entries site-wide;
- Instrumental in incident investigations, medical management and return to work programs for work related medical injuries;
- Manage the departmental budget, ensuring cost effectiveness but also flexibility to deliver business;
- Work collaboratively to resolve significant H&S issues and projects across the site using cross-functional resource.
O que precisas de garantir
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering or directly related to Health and Safety;
- Safety certification;
- Audit certifications and/or Trainer certification (preferential);
- Minimum of 5-year experience working on EHS system with preference in a manufacturing plant;
- Knowledge of safety management systems such as risk assessment, auditing and permits to work;
- Experience of safety aspects of plant operation, design and maintenance and Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis just as Behavioral Safety Auditing;
- Able to coach/facilitate operating teams;
- Engineering skills to support knowledge of fire systems;
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel, Word) and SAP;
- Fluent in English.
